Facing financial ruin after being swindled by two con artists—one in possession of an authentic Gauguin and the other a skilled forgery expert—an art dealer tracks them down. Initially bent on revenge, he opts instead to collaborate with the duo. What follows is a descent into chaos, as their scheme spirals out of control, leading to unforeseen and catastrophic consequences.
