Pelle the Conqueror (1987)
Set in the late 1800s, Lasse Karlsson and his son Pelle, two Swedish immigrants, arrive on the Danish island of Bornholm. They seek employment on a local farm, dreaming of earning enough money to eventually make their way to the United States. As they navigate the challenges of their new environment, they confront both hardships and hopes, striving to build a better future for themselves and fulfill their aspirations of a new life.
