The Ghost Army (2013)

1h 8m 2013 United States of America

During World War II, a select group of American soldiers embarked on an unconventional mission to deceive the German Army. Known as the 23rd Headquarters Special Troops, they employed inflatable tanks, sound trucks, and theatrical performances to mislead the enemy right on the front lines. Many of these soldiers were artists, including future fashion designer Bill Blass, who documented their experiences through sketches and paintings as they traversed Europe. Their covert operations remained classified for nearly five decades, revealing a fascinating blend of creativity and strategy amid the chaos of war.
