After Emperor Xian Feng’s beloved concubine Cao passed away, he arranged her secret burial in a vast cave deep in the remote Qing Gang Mountains. Two decades later, rumors surface that one of the eight palace maidens once chosen to accompany Cao in death somehow escaped.
