Bullets or Ballots (1936)
When Police Captain Dan McLaren ascends to the role of police commissioner, former detective Johnny Blake's public confrontation with him raises eyebrows. Blake's aggressive act convinces mob kingpin Al Kruger of his genuine intentions to infiltrate the criminal underworld. However, the cunning racketeer "Bugs" Fenner remains suspicious, convinced that Blake is secretly working for the police. As tensions escalate between loyalty and betrayal, Blake finds himself caught in a dangerous game of deception where trust is a luxury he can't afford.
