Pilgrimage (1933)
A fiercely protective mother from Arkansas goes to extreme lengths to keep her adult son from tying the knot. Fearing that marriage will take him away from her, she orchestrates his conscription into World War I. As he faces the perils of war, their relationship becomes strained, forcing both to confront the complexities of love, duty, and independence.
