Brea, Adam's girlfriend, is off to see her cousin at the University of Virginia, but Beverly's insecurities about Adam lead her to pressure him into making a big romantic gesture to sway Brea away from UVA. On another front, when Geoff invites Erica to attend a local talk show featuring Nancy Glass, a frustrated Barry decides to team up with Geoff's sister, Joanne, in an attempt to change Geoff's mind about the invitation.
