Thorfinn and Thorkell decide to settle the matter of Askeladd's future with a duel. Thorkell is eager to confront Thors’s son, Thorfinn, and questions him on the essence of being a true warrior. At the same time, Canute finds himself unexpectedly attacked as he tries to flee, leading him to experience a vivid dream about a particular person.
