Mulder and Scully find themselves back in the town where their very first X-Files case took place, as a UFO has reportedly crashed in the nearby woods. Meanwhile, the Cigarette-Smoking Man orchestrates Krycek's release from prison, intending for him to connect with the aliens and revive the "Project." Amidst these developments, Scully's health seems to be declining, raising concerns for both her and Mulder.
