Clay Grainger is abducted and taken hostage for ransom by a group working for an Englishman, Patrick Macnee, who has deceived the Grainger family into believing he is an ally. His ulterior motives come to light through his wife, Jackie DeShannon. Meanwhile, the Virginian tracks the kidnappers after the ransom exchange, apprehends them, and persuades them to reveal the location of Grainger's captivity.
