While heading home, Tate stumbles upon a hunting party pursuing a young Shawnee boy. Upon realizing the boy is deaf and mute, Tate decides to intervene and takes him to jail after discovering he is accused of murder. However, Tate soon finds himself stepping into the role of the boy's lawyer, as he becomes determined to uncover the truth behind the charges and protect the innocent child.
