Buck, Wilma, and Twiki embark on an expedition through deep space aboard the Searcher, aiming to locate the lost tribes of Earth—humans who escaped to the cosmos following a devastating nuclear disaster. Their journey leads them to a battered spacecraft with a lone survivor, who reveals a brutal assault by a bird-like creature named Hawk. Determined, they chart a course to Hawk's home planet, where Buck soon finds himself locked in a tense battle of strategy and piloting against Hawk. When Hawk's companion, injured during the conflict, requires urgent medical assistance, Buck and Hawk reluctantly team up. In the end, Hawk becomes part of the Searcher's crew, seeking others of his kind.
