Millie Eastman, the former head nurse at Rampart, is struggling with retirement and attempts to take her own life, landing her back in the very hospital where she dedicated her career. Meanwhile, a paraplegic child faces a near-drowning incident in a pool, and Millie connects deeply with the child during the crisis. Additionally, the paramedics respond to a family suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning, assist a woman ensnared in plastic, and work to free a man trapped beneath a fuel tanker.
