In the dead of night, the residents are jolted awake by a blaring car alarm. While investigating the disturbance, Colin and Christine run into Eric on the street and decide to drop by the Baird's for a late-night cup of tea, with Cathy and Sophie trailing closely behind. Before long, an unexpected gathering begins to unfold, much to the dismay of the reluctant Baird family, who would prefer to be tucked in bed instead.
