The joy of Jack's homecoming is abruptly interrupted when he shows up at the beach accompanied by Juliet, one of the Others. Her flashbacks reveal the events that led her to the island and her transformation into an Other. At the same time, Claire faces a mysterious illness that puts her in danger.
