On January 19, 1995, Bristow Flight 56C's crew faces a dire situation when lightning strikes, crippling the helicopter's tail rotor. This unfortunate event necessitates an emergency autorotation, leading to a controlled ditching in the turbulent sea. Amid challenging ocean conditions, the courageous crew successfully coordinates a rescue operation, with nearby vessels coming to the aid of the 16 oil rig workers and pilots on board.
