S4E4 Du'an Family

Angela and Forrest An-Duan have their five young children—Christopher, 9; Isabella, 7; twins Lawrence and Benjamin, 6; and Charlotte, 4—juggling an exhausting schedule packed with over 40 activities each week. Believing they're providing valuable experiences through lessons in Chinese, chess, art, piano, tutoring, violin, tennis, Scouts, math, music appreciation, and writing workshops, the parents instead find their family overwhelmed and stressed. Dinners often take place in the car, and the kids don’t settle down for bed until 10:00 p.m. after finishing homework. The three boys act out, engaging in physical fights and teasing their sisters, while Christopher frequently clashes with Mom. The couple is so frazzled that they’ve postponed moving into their newly built dream home for six months.
