After the tragic death of her mother in an unexplained accident, Cassie Blake's life takes a dramatic turn as she moves in with her caring grandmother Jane in the quaint town of Chance Harbor, Washington. As she tries to adapt to her new surroundings, Cassie quickly forms a bond with the kind-hearted Diana Meade, who introduces her to Faye, the local mean girl, her friend Melissa, and Cassie's neighbor, Nick. Complications arise when Cassie feels an intense connection to Adam, Diana's boyfriend. When she encounters Dawn Chamberlain, an old friend of her mother's and the school principal, Cassie starts to question her mother's past. Soon, bizarre and unsettling events unfold, leading her friends to reveal their secret—they are witches, and her presence is essential to complete their Circle. But their reunion isn't coincidental; Diana's father, Charles Meade, has his own ambitions for the group.
