An anonymous letter exposes a member of the 12th Precinct as gay, prompting Lieutenant Scanlon to launch a relentless investigation to find the sender. His aggressive tactics create a tense atmosphere among the officers. Meanwhile, a frustrated shopper unleashes their anger on an elevator's MUZAK machine, taking a fire axe to it in a fit of rage.
