After the shocking murder of his sister, Bryan Mills embarks on a perilous quest for vengeance against cartel leader Carlos Mejia. Unbeknownst to him, a clandestine US intelligence agency, overseen by Christina Hart, is utilizing Bryan as bait to ensnare Mejia. Ultimately, their plan succeeds, and they offer Bryan a position to join their ranks, recognizing his skills and determination.
