On election day, the newly elected mayor and Wells Fargo agent, Jess Brown, is murdered, prompting Jim Hardie to step in and uncover the truth. The investigation reveals that Jess was shot with a distinctive firearm owned solely by one local resident. However, before Jim can pursue this lead, he discovers that the gun’s owner has also been killed, complicating the case further.
