Ben finds himself in a peculiar situation when the council mistakenly believes he is disabled and begins sending him cheques. Eager to rectify the misunderstanding, Ben attempts to return the money, but the clerk remains unresponsive. Meanwhile, Rosemary, an overly enthusiastic welfare visitor, arrives to evaluate him, too preoccupied with praising Ben's supposed bravery to hear his side of the story.
