Jim Hardie is dispatched to look into the theft of a shipment of saloon equipment intended for the hot-headed gunfighter, Clay Allison. As he delves deeper into the case, Hardie begins to suspect that his rival, Taggert, is behind the heist, and he has a growing concern that the local sheriff may be in cahoots with Taggert.
