Dr. Grimsby Roylott employs a snake not as a weapon against his daughter, but as a means to transform into a snake-man in his quest to acquire nanobot technology to rescue his struggling New London Zoo. The investigation uncovers several key pieces of evidence: a snake scale intertwined with hair, a damaged hovercraft, financial documents pertaining to the zoo, and the background of the animal rights group known as the Earth Sentinels.
