Following the tragic death of his parents at the hands of white settlers, a boy is brought up by a solitary Native American. As time passes, a wagon train arrives close to their home, prompting the Indian to encourage the young man to reunite with his own people. However, memories of his past and his interactions with the wagon train leave him feeling conflicted and unsure about leaving.
