Alan Shore decides to assist his friend Sheila Carlisle, a prominent lawyer who insists that she hears God’s voice, and has been dismissed from her law firm due to concerns about her mental fitness. At the same time, significant breakthroughs occur in the case of Brad Stanfield, who is being defended by Ellenor and Jamie for allegedly poisoning his pregnant wife.
