Marlott leads a frightened Pritty to meet the mercenaries, descending into the dark tunnels beneath Smithfield market that connect the Fortune of War pub to St Bart's Hospital. Meanwhile, Flora has come back to Marlott's place, but Marlott has a plan to use her as bait for the deadly gang, despite Nightingale's strong objections to the risky move.
