When Beaver's cousin Betty visits, Franklin is the first of the Woodland kids, aside from Beaver, to meet her. The pair instantly hit it off, bonding over their shared love for building sandcastles. Betty appreciates Franklin's enthusiasm and finds a welcome distraction from Beaver, who remains blissfully wrapped up in her own pursuits.
