S1E7 Digestion

Take a moment to grasp the concept of this episode. They explain that food isn’t truly “inside” you, much like a pencil isn’t really in a donut when it’s pushed through. Rather, food travels through your system. The energy that fuels your growth and life comes from this food, and the essential elements that form your body and mind stem from it, too. This vital process is known as "digestion," where your body breaks down food to extract necessary nutrients before eliminating what’s left. It all begins in your mouth, where your teeth and saliva work together to break food into smaller pieces. Afterward, you swallow, and the food travels down your esophagus to the stomach, where strong hydrochloric acid transforms it into a mushy substance called chyme.
