On a secluded island, a scientist conducting research on plants faces dire consequences. A team from the Seaview arrives just in time to catch his final warning: the world is in danger of being conquered in eight hours. Nelson salvages the only peculiar item he can find—a striking red orchid. However, this seemingly innocent flower turns out to be a sinister alien organism, which begins to infiltrate Nelson’s mind and those of his crew members.
