S6E4 Mindbend

Oct 09, 1971 Season 6 Episode 4 Action & Adventure, Crime, Drama

Alex Pierson, an ambitious member of the Syndicate, has enlisted the help of Dr. Burke, a disturbed behavioral psychologist who has devised a method to turn men into assassins. Pierson entices underworld criminals with the promise of plastic surgery, then hands them over to Burke, who brainwashes them to eliminate Pierson's targets three times before they are programmed to take their own lives. Barney goes undercover as a fugitive but fails to administer a counter-drug, transforming him into another psychopathic killer. Communication with Barney is lost—Jim plants incriminating evidence on Burke to make it seem like he is betraying Pierson, while another IMF agent, disguised as Barney, attempts but fails to assassinate Pierson before staging his own death. As Pierson confronts Burke, Jim extracts information about Barney's whereabouts from Burke’s assistant, and Willy intervenes just in time to prevent the tech expert from completing his deadly mission.
