Kitty and Matt are en route to St. Louis when Matt receives an urgent business call, forcing him to return home. Frustrated by his departure, Kitty decides to continue her journey alone. On her way, she encounters a charismatic gunslinger who ultimately saves her life. Grateful, she invites him back to Dodge, where he begins to pursue her romantically.
