Just after realizing that his daughter, Kimberly, has sneaked out, Jack Bauer receives a call to duty. As the head of the CIA's Los Angeles Counter Terrorist Unit, he learns that there’s an imminent assassination plot against presidential candidate David Palmer that must be thwarted within the next day. Jack and his team are tasked with ensuring Palmer's safety. Meanwhile, Jack's wife, Teri, embarks on a search to locate their missing daughter.
