Jack and Paul seek assistance from civilians to defend themselves against soldiers dispatched by McLennan-Forster with orders to eliminate them. Meanwhile, conflict arises between Tony and Michelle as she takes charge of CTU. Sarah challenges Michelle's leadership by presenting her with an ultimatum. Audrey begins to reconsider her emotions for Jack, while Marwan advances his scheme, initiating the next stage of his plan.
