Mel is shocked to discover that Austin might not see their future the same way she does, especially since he firmly insists he never wants kids. At the same time, Joe is left feeling perplexed by his new girlfriend, who seems only interested in a physical relationship, leaving him yearning for something deeper. Meanwhile, Lennox struggles to find the inspiration to write her college entrance essay, so she decides to hire Ryder as her full-time babysitter to help her focus until she gets it done.
