S6E6 Frail Mortality

The headteacher's daughter, working as a housekeeper for a sick man and his son, becomes the victim of a hit-and-run accident. In a moment of desperation, Maggie calls for help but inadvertently finds herself as the primary suspect. Although Nick expresses his trust in her innocence, Maggie begins to doubt herself. The sick man is unable to recall the events of that night due to a blackout and fears he might have been involved. Ultimately, it's revealed that his son, her ex-boyfriend, chased after her but panicked and struck her. Meanwhile, Nick reflects on Jo's comments regarding a promotion and seeks Blaketon's guidance on pursuing his sergeant's exams.
