Jethro must obtain a health certificate to complete the fifth grade, so he visits the only doctor the Clampetts are familiar with—Mrs. Drysdale’s psychiatrist. However, Dr. Twombly quickly finds himself in over his head while trying to help Jethro. When he struggles to make any progress, Pearl arrives, believing that Jethro is putting her moral character to the test when he attempts to lay her down on his couch.
