Mrs. Drysdale extends an invitation to a King to stay at her home, unaware that he is financially struggling. When Mr. Drysdale introduces him to the Clampetts, the King has his sights set on marrying Elly for her wealth. However, when Elly declines his proposal, he quickly shifts his attention to Mrs. Drysdale's niece and makes a hasty exit in pursuit of her.
