After a small car crash, Mary strikes up a friendship with a young woman named Joanne. However, Rhoda feels envious as Mary spends increasing time with her new companion. The situation takes a turn when Mary learns that Joanne holds anti-Semitic views and is critical of Rhoda. Disillusioned, Mary decides to put an end to the friendship.
