Strickland sends McAndrew and Standing to Scotland for a week to assist the Glasgow Police in setting up a new UCOS division under the leadership of DCI Fiona MacDougall. While working there, they become involved in an unsolved case from 1993, revolving around the murder of bookmaker James Soutar.
