S1E8 Impasse

The Virginian and his team set out to round up wild horses in the mountains, intending to sell them to the army at Shiloh Ranch. However, they encounter Pa Kroeger (Eddie Albert), a determined widower living in the mountains with his four sons and daughter, who insists that the horses belong to him. When the Virginian refuses to hand them over, Kroeger resorts to drastic measures to thwart the Shiloh crew. Meanwhile, the Kroeger sons contemplate a more diplomatic resolution, and the daughter finds herself drawn to Trampas.
