A surprising opportunity arises for newlyweds Dharma and Greg when Donna, the supermarket express checkout clerk, confides that her boyfriend has left her just before their child is due. After Dharma invites Donna to stay at their home for the night, she proposes an unconventional solution: why not let Dharma and Greg adopt her baby? While Greg immediately opposes the notion, the situation unfolds in unexpected ways.
