Jaidee appears to have perished two times, once on Ofärdsön and again during the tsunami catastrophe. Bäckström is eager to question Daniel, the grieving husband, but Hwass interferes, causing his colleagues to doubt him. Undeterred, Bäckström decides to continue the investigation independently.
