Steed sets out to apprehend the elusive super-spy Merlin but is soon rendered unconscious by a sleeping gas capsule. When he regains consciousness, he discovers a deserted London, now under martial law. With firing squads patrolling the streets and a nuclear bomb threatening the government, chaos reigns as he tries to navigate this perilous situation.
