West and Gordon receive a summons to the abandoned mining town of Brimstone from Professor Colecrest, who has unearthed something significant. Unfortunately, before they arrive, a gang of criminals kidnaps the Professor, who suffers severe injuries from a fall. With the Professor holding crucial information about the mystery, Jim and Artie race against time to keep him alive while they work to reveal the truth behind his discovery.
