Herman surprises Marilyn by purchasing a convertible from a dubious used-car salesman known as Fair Deal Dan. However, his excitement quickly fades when the car turns into a heap of junk shortly after arriving home. The situation takes a turn for the worse when Herman discovers that the vehicle is not only defective but also stolen, leading to his arrest.
