The Doctor brings Rose on her inaugural time-travel adventure to the year five billion, just as the Sun is set to engulf the Earth. Initially hesitant, Rose begins to doubt her motivations for traveling with The Doctor. Meanwhile, a sinister presence lurks among the various alien species assembled at Platform One, as a killer strikes. The mystery deepens as they uncover who is orchestrating the deadly metallic spiders that threaten them all.
