After a failed assassination attempt on influential politician Charles Irwin, the Five-O team investigates and uncovers a lead pointing to Mike Finney, a reformed racketeer who has maintained a clean record for nearly a decade. Finney, however, vehemently claims his innocence. As the investigation unfolds, the clues begin to circle back to Irwin himself, raising questions about his involvement in the conspiracy.
