A year after Jon sends his producer, Matt Walsh, across the border into Mexico without his passport, he finds himself visiting Matt again, only this time he accidentally pushes him into Guatemala. Later, while attempting to interview a notorious drug cartel leader, Jon discovers that his producer has risen to become the cartel chief just before the Guatemalan authorities raid their hideout. In an intense chase, Matt ends up pushed across the border into El Salvador, clutching Jon's passport as Jon is apprehended and faces the Guatemalan justice system. The episode also features "You Can't Shoot Here," showcasing some of New York's hidden filming spots.
