Joannie makes a pitch to her boss, expressing her desire for increased responsibilities at work while also planning a documentary about her family. Meanwhile, Mary discovers the harsh realities of adulthood when she develops feelings for a hospital resident who is not available. In an effort to make some extra cash, Nicholas takes to selling guaca dew, a wrinkle-reducing product, going door to door.
